Wintertime doldrums

There isn't much going on about now.

Winter at our place usually means lots of reading or playing games or talking.

Oh ... and cutting wood. I was unwise last year and didn't cut any at all. We were having a bit of difficulty getting the heater installed and weren't sure it would get done in time for winter.

And I thought, "well I'm not going to cut all this wood if we can't even use it."

Silly me.
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. -Proverbs 6:6-8
Even if I couldn't have burned it myself, I still could've sold it. Now I'm rushing trying to keep up with the stove.

Praise God we are blessed with friends who allow us to cut wood on their land.

I'm glad to see you're blogging again, and I'm doubly glad to see some scripture and references to God. Personally, I think you're on the right track.
